Kantha Quilt
The entire quilt is painstakingly embroidered with thousands of small and delicate kantha stitches to create a one of a kind masterpiece! Both sides have different patterns. Kantha quilts consist of several layers of recycled cotton or saris, They are held together by a simple, running, “Kantha” stitch that is applied row after row and gives the fabric its unique, slightly old, wrinkled effect. This kind of embroidery is most popular with the rural women of India, who spends hour upon hour creating these wonderful, one-of-a-kind pieces. The top layer of the quilt may start peeling off (due to wear), letting the layer below shine through.
You can use it from both side. And this quilt is multi uses, you can use as Quilt / Blanket / Picnic rug / throw / Sofa cover / decoration / wall hanging / jacket fabric / kitchen accessories etc.
